SKBU Social Activities

A 7 member comittee is looking after following Activities:

1. Hand sanitizer/Soap/Detergent/Mask distribution
2. Dry Food & Water for distressed human beings
3. Distribution of Cereals/Pulse/Vegetables 
4. Feeding of roaming animals
5. Public awareness campaign
6. Acting as NSS  Volunteer in Emergency Relief Group

 

ACTIVITIES OF SKBU’s NSS VOLUNTEERS FOR COVID-19 EMERGENCY

Following the Government advisories and guidance, NSS volunteers of SKBU have been supporting implementation of select components of RCCE in the adopted villages; specific details of activities are as follows:
Composition of Quick Response Team
1.NSS Volunteers – 220;
2.NYK Volunteers – 50;
3.NCC Volunteers – 30;
4.Others - 1210.
Resources of this Team
i)             Capacity, skills and positive attitudes to mobilize stakeholders;
ii)            Available network and involvement time of the members
iii)           Self- training, discussion among themselves and social media
iv)           Support to District Administrations (Purulia), for distribution of resources like food, shelter, transport etc
Main activities
1. Awareness Camp on COVID-19 in Villages;
2. support for rescue of daily labour and farmers. (Out of Station) from Balarampur;
3. Arrangement of food and shelter to destitute;
4. Mobilization of blood donner;
5.Provide psycho-social support to the affected persons
6. Survey through social media on COVID19 scenarios of villages in Purulia.
